Saturday 31st July, 2004
Elmgrove LeRoc went on the first leg of the 2004 Bristol tour on Saturday
31st July, 2004. We were doing a demo and fun class at the Bristol Harbour
Festival, and after the performance we put in at the 2002
Harbour Festival we helped to get a larger dance stage specially for dance
in Bristol. Must have made a good impression!
Our slot was in the early afternoon in the baking hot sun, and the place was
absolutely heaving. We did a quick demo, did a good fun class, and
basically put the stereo on and let rip with some of the best dancers in Bristol
on the scene, giving the crowd exactly they wanted - great entertainment!

 |
Getting ready before the show - David giving us all a
briefing about the Grand Plan of Action! We were cooking in the
heat! |
 |
Yo taught with David during the class, and respect to her -
she was out in the sun all day advertising for our 1940s day in two weeks
time, in full military uniform, and THEN came and taught with us!
That's either dedication or dehydration, one of the two... |
 |
Demo time, Sue and John giving it some welly in front of the
stage, on the bare concrete! |
 |
And this is the result of dancing on the afore-mentioned
concrete. Completely knackered shoes! |
 |
Gareth and Jill, doing some swanky moves to please the
crowd! |
 |
This shot was taken from in the crowd, getting a front-row
view of the demo before the class. |
 |
Graham's got his shorts on, but was later hauled in by the
Fashion Police for not having a license for his legs... |
 |
Credit where it's due though, dancing in shades... |
 |
By the end of the demo, the crowd was absolutely
heaving. We pulled in loads of people who all wanted to come see
what the great demo was all about. |
 |
Thanks to Pete for some of these photos - as we were dancing
we only got chance to take a few ourselves! |
