The Push-Pull is an excellent move to start off a dance with - you can push'n'pull on the dance floor until you catch up with the beat of the music... and then let rip with the rest of the Beginner moves!

This is also a handy move in case you forget which others to use - you can "park" yourself in a Push-Pull for as long as you wish until you think of some more moves to do.

Men: Step back on your right foot. Man's left hand to lady's right hand.  Man's right to lady's left.  

Women: Step back on the right foot.

  

Men: Staying on the spot, swing to the right, and push your left hand forward to the lady's right hip. Bring your right hand back to your hip & tap your right foot.

Women: Bring your right hand towards you & tap your right foot. 

  

Men: Staying on the spot, swing to the left, and push your right hand forward to the lady's right hip, and bring your left hand back to your hip & tap your left foot.

Women: Bring your left hand towards you & tap your left foot.

  

Men: Staying on the spot, swing to the right, and push your left hand forward to the lady's right hip, and bring your right hand back to your hip & tap your right foot.

Women: Bring your right hand towards you & tap your right foot. 

 

Men: Staying on the spot, swing to the left, and push your right hand forward to the lady's right hip, and bring your left hand back to your hip & tap your left foot.

Women: Bring your left hand towards you & tap your left foot.

 

  

Men: Staying on the spot, swing to the right, and push your left hand forward and take it high to the lady's shoulder, and squeeze her hand.  This is the signal for the exit from the Push-Pull.

Women: Swing to the right also, and feel the squeeze on your hand.

  

Men: Staying on the spot, swing to the left, and bring your left hand up to head height, and go palm-to-palm.

Women: Swing to the left also, and prepare to spin out.

 

Men: Push up over the lady's head to spin her.

Women: Push-off against the man's hand and spin 360 degrees clockwise (right shoulder back) on your right foot. Spin on the spot.

Men: Bring your hand down and step back on the right foot.

Women: Complete the spin and step back on the right foot.

Men: Step in for a standard return, bring your left hand up over the lady's head to spin her on the spot.

Women: Step in on  your left foot and spin 360 degrees anti-clockwise (left shoulder back) on the spot.

Men: Step back on the right foot, holding on to the lady's right hand.

Women: Come out of the spin, and step back on the left foot ready for the next move.
